Pan Am Expo
One of the highlights of Buffalo history at what is perhaps the pinacle of Buffalo's history, thus far: the Pan Am Exposition (World's Fair) was held in Buffalo at the turn of the last century to showcase electricity. At the time, Buffalo was one of the leading cities in the United States. Electricity had a lot to do with it, but it's position as a transportation hub also played a significant role.
