ExPat Extraordinaire: Laura Pedersen

Like many ExPats Laura Pedersen left Buffalo after graduating from high school (Sweet Home Class of 1983) never to come back except to visit...

Since she's been gone, she's made quite a life and quite a name for herself, making a million dollars on Wall Street, writing award winning novels, hosting a financial show on Oxygen, appearing on Oprah, Good Morning America, Primetime Live, and David Letterman, and writing a column for the NY Times.

In her spare time she's done a few other notable things like being named one of Ten Outstanding Young Americans by President Clinton in 1994, teaching reading in East Harlem, doing stand-up comedy, making speaking appearances, including one coming up at UB in February (details to come soon), and, we assume, more writing.
