_________________________________________

Nostalgia begins for me with Christmas. What better childhood  memories are there? And where Christmas is concerned the Snow Capital has an advantage. (See Christmas '54 below.)

Whenever I hear "Sleigh Bells" I think of Hengerer's "Santa Claus" Show, since that Christmas song was the theme music. What about you?

W.T. Grant's

What Ever Happened to Iroquois Beer?

If you're like me, you just assume it's still there, it'll always be there, a staple of WNY, correct? Apparently not. Gone the way of the Pierce Arrow apparently. But I thought you'd enjoy some friendly reminders.

Buffalo Christmas 1954

Take this link to a wonderful site and travel back in time to Christmas 1954 as seen in the Courier Express, which happens to be the first Christmas of my life.

A special treat for Ex-Pats on this link.
